Next BCC major tournament

For what it's worth, one of the supervisors told me last night that the final touches/approvals are being put in place for the next tourney.

No buy-in amounts yet, at least that he knows of.

Satellites will probably begin in March, with the tourney in May.

Again, fwiw.

Good to know, thanks for the heads up.
  • My biggest disappointment since I started playing live is in the lack of live tourneys with reasonable buy-ins.. Hope we start a trend of getting them back.
  • If the tourny is in May, they may have to compete with the Johnny Chan Classic @ River Rock in Vancouver (if they decide to have it again).
  • I phoned OLG Casino Brantford on when I can start going to the best-value casino satellites there, but the horrible news is that there won't be a May tournament after all! :rage: This means that there may not be a single decent (Skill Level 6) casino tournament in Ontario until the WPT $10K event in October. :'(

Instead, they are planning to have $100 MTT for up to five tables starting in April. With such a low buy-in for a casino, the rake/fee will probably have to be unwinnably high and the structure will be turbo-bingo. So except for the Skill Level 6 tournaments in a few clubs, the next decent tournament within reasonable driving distance is Seneca Casino's 7,500-chip tournament on March 16.
