There's actually a seperate line you call to reserve your spot.
I did it tonight. Called at 5:32, arrived at the poker room at 6:30, and was on the top of the list (with the time I called). I went up and said who I was, and they simply removed the time allowing me to be a standard member of the list. I was called about 10 minutes after that.. So sweet.

They hold your place for 90 minutes.
I'll edit this tomorrow with the number..
Glad to see there is a way to know who in the list has not arrived.
I was kind of wondering about that.
Called when I was still in Hamilton. By the time I had run some errands, and driven there, it was about an hour later. Walked up, and Ryan took my "time" off of my name, and I was immediately seated at 20/40. (Had a good session, up 1,170 in 7 hours of play.)
It's a bit more confusing reading the board, but overall, the sytem seems to work well.
It's a nice feature that the computer immeidately removes a name once the 90 minute mark is reached. The supervisor doesn't have to remove it, it's done by the computer. Makes the system "fair" for all.
Correct. It was explained to me that they know the room will be busy during those times and don't want to slow down the person who may have been already at the casino playing other games and now wants to play poker.
The reason I said minor is because coming from no-call-ins at all, 5 days a week is a good start. And I only go during Monday to Thursday anyway so it's not that important to me, though I see how it could suck for those coming in from out of town.

ScottyZ?? Cool!
That said, I may have played with him before, but since we've never met, I wouldn't know it.
I'll try this system this afternoon.
Will be playing 20/40 this evening.
