Poker Statistics Advice Needed

So I just demo-ed and subsequently picked up a copy of PT and currently demoing PAHUD as well. Probably will purchase when it expires. I'm just a bit overwhelmed at the moment as to the amount of statistics and information that it's processing and spitting back at me.
I'm pretty sure I've figured out how to work it, but I'm asking for any tips and advice as to which particular stats to keep an eye out on as I start building up my database. I know that I should get a large sample first before getting too worried/critical of my own (and other players') game and also make sure that the obvious columns (incl. $$ won and BB/100) are in the green. Just not sure as to what would be a good size sample to look at and which stats whould be monitored closely as that # is eclipsed or nearing it.
