LAGs show me the money.

Well I was at a crazy loose-aggressive table with people raising and reraising preflop every single hand nomatter what two cards they had. I came in with $5 and was down to about $1.20 after taking a few bad beats (you know, like when someone calls a raise preflop with 4-7(s) and calls your raise on the flop with only one of their needed suit showing, then they make their flush by the river). Part of me thought to just get the hell away from this table but then I knew that there were a lot of people paying out considerably while holding crappy cards so I figured that at an opportune moment I could really take a big pot against these maniacs. Thus we come to this hand:

- slavista44 sitting in seat 1 with $5.06
- dwalfland sitting in seat 2 with $19.71
- BilboAnneli sitting in seat 3 with $22.55

  • nice flop for you, good thing no one tightened up on the river, that woulda been horrible.....otherwise nice pot :)
  • I've been having problems at tables with a lot of hyper-aggressive players jacking the preflop betting 2 three bets every time. It's like they read a strategy off some website that suggested playing really aggressive to the river and either getting lucky or getting opponents to fold or somethin. Players who show nothing but full on aggression. In this period of play I decided to just hang back and let them have it out with each other, wait for an opportune moment and strike. It paid off, that hand put me in the green again. Hard to believe K-K stayed right to the bitter end.

I think the main reason I stayed at that table is because I wanted to learn how to deal with players like that as oppose to just always avoiding them.
  • What a waste. You would have made a lot more money if you had topped up.

And schabs, wtf are you talking about no one tightening up on the river, hero was all-in halfway thru the turn.

  • Yeah, lol. I gave my last 20c. I just feel good about the comeback. I folded hands for an hour, resisted playing 3-3 and A-9(0). After that hand I went on to win a few more because so many players insisted on taking their junk to the river. Usually these tables are a nightmare for me, glad I left with more than I came in with.
  • That's such a sick river given the action - sweet that they are just total chumps, ha ha!
