Greatest Fold Ever!

DOGGED A MASSIVE BULLET. HAD I CALLED THE TURN BET, I WOULD HAVE MADE A FULL-HOUSE ON THE RIVER AND WALKED INTO A ROYAL FLUSH!

THAT IS WHY, THIS WAS THE GREATEST FOLD EVER!!

SOME MAY ARGUE, THAT THE GREATEST FOLD WOULD HAVE COME IF I CALLED THE TURN BET, AND THEN FOLDED THE RIVER AFTER MAKING THE FULLHOUSE, AND PUTTING SOMEONE ON A ROYAL FLUSH!

  • good fold, nice job!
  • There are no great folds with limit hold'em. Only with fat chicks. Discuss.
  • WHAT

    THE

    EFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this hand was limit? I need to start paying closer attention.
  • Easy fold with that action, I guess there's some history here that I'm missing.
  • Limp/call 2 more preflop with AJo out of position... bad.

Check the flop when you hit your 3 outer... bad. Were you going for a check/raise here? or just check/calling?

Call/fold for 2 more on the turn... that's about the worst card in the deck for you, with 2 players behind I fold to the first bet.

Hand summary: you put in $2.50 without the best hand, and $0.00 with the best hand. 2 thumbs down.

  • lol @ any great folds in limit....
  • This fold was years too late. G2 is pretty much bang on.

Preflop: With one EP limper this is very much raise or fold coming into the pot in MP. You don't want to encourage multiple limpers behind you. Raise > fold > call. As played, this is a clear fold to a raise/3 bet behind you.

Flop: Ugly. I probably lead here looking for a reason to get out if there's action behind me. You have a 3 out gutshot, and are facing FD/possibly set redraws even if you do make that. Checking with the intention of folding to action behind isn't terrible though I guess, although this is a clear indication of why you fold to the 3 bet preflop so you don't put yourself into these spots.

Turn: Being as the flop got checked around, this actually does you the favour of keeping the pot small. You're easily up against straight, and since the pot is tiny (4.5 BB), you don't have odds to chase your 4 out draw (if they're all live). Check/fold. As you turned out to be facing a bet from EP with 2 people behind you to act this is a very very clear fold.

UTG calls ... what part of his range are you ahead of?
If he's a solid player you aren't ahead of any of his range.
    tryandbeat folds
    xiaocj111 folds
    shyguy4u2see calls [$0.50 USD]

You call with a hand that isn't ahead of any of his range with players behind.

If UTG is a strong player then you should fold.

Your hand is unsuited and unconnected. It doesn't play well against multiple opponents.
So you don't want more players in the pot.
If UTG is a weak player then raise to isolate.
Is the UTG a guy who will play any ace out of position?
Then this is a clear raise.

If you think the players behind you play like shit postflop and will call no matter if you rase to isolate, then I guess you could call here to keep the pot size small and outplay them postflop.. is that what you're thinking?

    Huh?
The pot has just been 3 bet.
You have a weak unsuited hand.
Why are you calling 2 small bets with AJo?
Are these guys both loose raisers who play poorly postflop and don't use their position well?
