  • Check/calling gives me no information on the turn. I lead out again because since all your opponents aggression factors are so low that if it is 2 bets back to me, I can easily fold. Even one bet, I might chuck em.

Leading out costs me the same. It gives me more information. It might save me money. If everyone flat calls again, I might be more inclined to check/call the river.

River: reread Sklansky about overcalling. WTSD% might also aid you in throwing these away.

    thanks for the insight Moose!

yes, overcalling, the second guy aint bluffing...
  • I know I've made MANY MANY mistakes playing, but I think I've learned from most.

My worst booboo was probably checking a flush in PLO. The river paired the board, and I lost to a boat.
  • The following is the worst poker play I have ever seen. The board in the cash game is something like
    :kc :ks :6h :6d :9c
A player goes all-in on the river, representing a full house or at least an Ace. His sole opponent goes deep into the tank. He finally calls - with pocket 3s! He loses all his money by calling an all-in with a hand that cannot even beat the board!

Yeah that is bad. Why would ray leave 50 chips behind?

Because the other 50 from the BB wasn't uncalled...so its returned to the player?
