Seneca Poker's Dash For Cash THIS Thursday Night!

Join Seneca Poker at the Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel on Thursday, December 6th at 10pm for your chance to be one of eight lucky winners that will receive $500 with Seneca Poker's Dash For Cash Giveaway! Plus, one lucky winner will receive $1,000 at midnight!

You can still your entries by using your Seneca Rewards card through tomorrow night. You'll receive one entry for each point earned on your Seneca Rewards card dating back from November 21st through Thursday, December 6th.

Also, don't forget to join us for the On The Border Poker Challenge this Sunday, December 9th at noon at the Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel.

In response to Redington, I can't go to Seneca until late Thursday night, but I hope to be there by 10 PM. I'm hoping they will finally have enough interest for the $60 SNGs or super satellite to the U$540+ tournament on December 9. The satellite prizes will be seats so I'm pretty sure there will be no withholding tax.

Blondefish: special sliderule showing patience and skill factor
I just took a dump and my slide rule :D shows that the Sunday tournament has a Patience Factor of 11.4 and the highest Skill Level of 6. Including the $40 "Charity Bonus Buy", 82.8% of your buy-in goes to the final prize pool so the total rake is 17%.

  • I didn't even know that they had another tournament on Sat. In fact, I didn't know about the Sun. tournament until someone from this site posted it (maybe it was you that time too?). They should definitely update their site on upcoming tournaments if they want to attract players unless I'm blind and I just can't find it.

Looks like I'll be playing in the Sat. tourney as well. It seems to have more starting chips then the $540 tourney so I'm guessing it'll have shorter rounds or a faster blind structure?

Will you be playing in the Sat. and Sun. events BlondeFish?
  • I'll be leaving for Seneca soon for the best-value $120 tournament soon. I asked a TD why the $540 main event has less starting chips than the five less expensive tournaments with 20-minute blinds, and they said that the "On the Border Poker Challenge" main event has an established structure so they kept it the same, but at least they created good value tournaments for the week which is sadly lacking in Ontario casinos.

Can anybody give a report on the main event or Saturday's $225 tournament at Seneca? I was busy in local games the past two nights. Congratulations to "The Prophet 22" and waltsfriend for their top two finishes on Friday and Saturday, respectively. The rumours of The Prophet 22's "poker death" have been greatly exaggerated! :)
