A Strange Hand (in hindsight)

Table is a very very passive $100 buy in on Cryptos, and many are semi loose in their calling tendencies.

The two villains are

And021084 - very very passive. Bets with monsters, usually min bets/raises etc (not certain he knows one can vary bets in NL). He has a small stack though.

Eliman - unknown

OK, I pretty much assume And02 has JQ by the turn action but his stack is small and with another guy with a deep tagging along I figure I have a good chance at a decent sidepot and will certainly get paid if board pays.

Is there anyway I can call his reraise all in there? I could not think of any hand he could have other then QJ since the very passive small stack had to have a monster as well.

I cannot help but wonder if I did a bit too much overthinking here (and I might add I certainly call all in for $25 or less regardless)

Any thoughts?

  • FYI...you might want to remove the showdown results so the responses will not be skewed as a result.
  • Laying down a tight is not an easy thing to do. But this hand is the perfect situation for it:

-Unraised pot with 168 players to the flop.
    -Massive overbet on the turn.
-size of the bet compared to the size of the pot = weakish odds

As played I like the fold.

Why did you not bet the shit out of your set of 10's on the turn.

There is a flush draw and the straight draw just got there. You need bet at least 3/4 pot here.
  • A person who is as passive as possible in the game bet out. Seriously in my mind his hand range then was 99% QJ and 1% KK so raising just seemed a way to isolate a hand I was felt strongly that I was basically behind.

Against that passive player if everyone else folded I would have called turn and seriously only called a small bet (assuming a brick) on river to confirm my beliefs on his hand.

I accepted I was losing a main pot to that guy unless the board paired, I was thinking of how to play against the deeper stack while also getting reasonable odds vs the likely made straight to fill up on the river.

I was certainly planning on betting the turn if it was checked to me.
