Napc - Day 3

With Day 3 about to start and still some familiar faces in there. Let's start railbirding.

Also for the players not active in the Toronto poker scene, there are lots of players who are regulars to the Toronto Underground scene still in the tourny. Some are sitting very good while others are holding on.

Good Luck to all and let's see an all Ontario final table.

  • Does anyone know how many players start friday noon. Does the final table start at a specific time? Going to do the drive down from Kitchener and cheer my ASS OFF for the Canuks! Might even bring a flag. See yah there lads.

    Who should we be watching?
  • Who are the Toronto players that we should be railbirding? All the GTA players whose names I know are gone.

Friday is when the six-player final table starts around 5 PM. Who else in the forum is going? Maybe we can save seats for forumers and have a wild cheering section. Otherwise, it will be 8 hours of boredom with a few minutes of excitement.

  • The player now in the lead and just took out Joe Cassidy, named Arun Jamasi, he is a real estate agent in Toronto, plays at the high end clubs around the city.

Very solid player and with this chip stack should make it very far into the event now. Some other names in there that frequent the underground scene, don't publicly want to name them, as that is there right to privacy and where they play but if you want to know to rail them, just send me a private message, there are quite a few still in there.
  • Players are getting eliminated much faster than was scheduled, so tomorrow may be a day off if they can get down to around 18 players tonight. It is close to bubble time with the final 45 players making it to the money. 37th-45th place wins $19,453. Good luck to all the Canadians left.

  • Go Arun! Keep it up!
  • Also Dave Cloutier and Narinder Khasria are also avid players amoung the Toronto scene.
  • They're on the bubble now.

    Wow that was fast.
Bubble has burst with 3 minutes to the next break.
  • Narinder has cashed in previous CPT events; did Dave play for the Toronto Marlies?
  • I played a satellite with current 5th place Giuseppe Galluzzo. Solid player, final tabled the Aruba classic this year.
  • In case anyone wants to follow an Ottawa player, Marc "myst" Karam is still in.

  • man.. is it just me or the girl who doesthe interview on wpt website is really really hot?
  • I predict that Marc Karam and Jonathan Little will make the final 6 televised table.
  • "man.. is it just me or the girl who does the interview on wpt website is really really hot?"

They didn't hire her for her knowledge of poker.
  • I recognize one of the top 20 stacks so now I know who to root for. He is a nice guy from Kitchener whom I have played a couple of final tables with at Casino Brantford, including this month's Ultimate Poker Challenge. Go, Bobby, go!!!

Yes and the low-cut Cleavage tops they put her in doesn't hurt either.

hey, did you make the final table of the Ultimate Poker Challenge?

I think he came in 2nd.
  • Does anybody know anything more about the Canadians left among the final 18? They will win between $63,233 to $1,387,224. I will probably go on Thursday afternoon to play at the casino and rail.
  • David Cloutier and Harry Tsoukalos are regulars at River Room and I have played with them many times. They are both super nice guys. Harry has been playing for many years and is a solid player. David is fairly new at the game, maybe 1.5 - 2 years but has greatly improved in that time and is one of the luckiest players I have ever seen. He goes on some streaks in tournies like he is blessed by the poker gods. I've been reading the updates and I read about one hand he where he was all in pre-flop with AK against AA and hit the nut straight. That is typical of the type of shit he does when he's in that zone. I think both these guys will be at the final table as long as nothing stupid happens.

He came 2nd in the $1000 event and 4th in the main event and probably first for points. He also won several sats to these events and the current WPT event.

That final $2,100 tournament on October 5 was pretty exciting, with three players known to forumers (including Larry L.) all in the same table when it was getting close to final table bubble time. In order to save GTA_Poker from any more undue pain and suffering, ;) I will refrain from posting any more details from the UPC. I can give Larry L., pokerJAH, IM-ON-TILT and my other forum friends as much details as they want in person.

To try to get this thread back on topic, see you on Friday, Wine Man, with our Canadian flags and brewski! "cheers: Any other forumer joining us?
