Either that or they're expecting 800 players for a one-day tourney.

Are you actually keeping the same blind levels after each break or is it a typo?
  • Hello All

Yes this is a Re-buy tournament. Unlimited re-buys for the first hour and one add-on at the end of the first hour. This will be the last tournament with the old blind structure. The new stuctures are posted with the 2008 dates.

    Yes.
    No typo.
  • Why can't you use this structure for the TOC. I know of many players that will not play your July and December Tournaments because the structure is terrible.

You are short stacked by the third hour!
  • Hello All

The question has come up about the starting stacks. Here are the amounts you get:
    • $200 + $40 Rebuy events start with $2000 in chips Rebuys are $100 and you get $1000 in chips, addon is $200 and you get $2000 in chips.
    • $500 + $50 Freeze out events start with $5000 in chips.
    • $1000 + $100 and the $2000 + $100 Freeze out events start with $10000 in chips.
Hope this answers any questions about the starting stacks.

Nice meeting you the other day.
  • Cardsrusa, which one are you? I was at GBH playing 10/20 a few times last week.

His name is John and is the Poker room manager, real nice guy. Bald with glasses.
  • Is anybody interested in having a satellite for either the ~$240+100+200 November 14 rebuy tournament or $2,100 December tournament? Unfortunately, forumer The_Game is unavailable to host rake-free home games.

I have analyzed the new 2008 tournament structures. Hopefully, they are not set in stone as all but the $2,100 tournament have too low a Skill Level. :( I would have loved to play in all of GBH's 2008 tournaments in order to try to stay on the Canadian Poker Tour leaderboard, but there are much better value tournaments available, including Casino Brantford, Seneca and Caesar's Windsor.

Why don't you PM Cardrusa or if your playing on Nov. 14th...ask for John...he runs the show (took over Lee).
  • Why, do you think he's willing to host a rake-free home game satellite? ;)
Seriously, are you playing? I was waiting for some friends to register so I have a car to follow or carpool since I have never made the very long drive to GBH. By the time they decide, registration will probably be full.

Any luck? Would be interested if there were any on the east side :)
Any interest in doing an online sat for this, the $2100 freezeout. Won't be rake free, but is an option.
  • There are a lot of gambling degenerates who play in casino crapshoot satellites & SNGs, but unfortunately, very few of them seem to read this forum. It also seems that there is only a very small fraction of forum members who play in casino tournaments.

There will be a home game satellite eventually, but it will probably be in Mississauga and not east Toronto. I am personally not interested in a raked online satellite.

November tournament is full. Wait list is up to 16 now.
  • Good luck to all the forumers playing in Wednesday's CPT tournament. To those driving back west after the tournament, is anybody else interested in stopping by Casino Rama to play a NL cash game?

I look forward to meeting cardusa and 'GBH Tournament Director'.
  • Is the Feb freezeout the same structure except with 5k chips? About how many seats are left? thx
