  • Being patriotic, I chose WPT NAPC. All other things being equal, I would rather be the champ in my home country than in Europe.

Any tournament in the US would be the last choice for me, as the 30% withholding tax will turn out to be an extra 30% rake for me as I am honest enough to admit that I will probably never get around to applying for a refund. :-[ Is there any poker withholding in Europe?

Fallsview Casino's biggest competition may instead be October PokerFest at Seneca Casino from October 27 – 31. I'm surprised that Seneca Casino is going on a head-to-head war against Fallsview Casino and the WPT on the same dates. If I was sure that I would get back the 30% withholding tax and with the Canadian dollar at par, it would be a no-brainer for me to play the $330, $540 and $1,070 deep stack events at Seneca instead of taking $10,300 out of my bankroll to play at the WPT.

  • Who the hell wants to go to Indiana in October? I only voted for Dublin because being part Irish (isn't everyone?) I would love to see what Ireland is all aboot.

Although I would dearly love to play in a WPT event close to home, so it is a tough choice.
  • EPT in Ireland. For sure.
