I check, i bet 15 cents, he raises to 30 cents, i fold, was that the right play?

Just remember that next time you're in a hand with him.

  • You should expect very "unconventional" play at 1/2 cent blind stakes since likely many of the players have no idea how to play at all and/or are just playing for fun and do not care about things such as 5x blind raises (which means calling 8 whole cents in the BB).

If you see that type of extreme loose play just bet bigger preflop with big hands and made hands post flop.
  • yeah thanks, problem is i never have time to play more then 1 hour and a half at a time so by the time i get a read i have to leave like 30 mins later or something.

Then you also need to work on reading players' styles faster :)

There are different degrees of reading. Focusing on preflop selection is easy and a very quick way to separate the players who have a clue from the doorknobs.

If BORATMASSAGE shows down 9s2s from ep and calls down middle pair, you have yourself a doorknob. Put a little note "BORATMASSAGE plays 9s2s from ep and calls down middle pair". That's enough to start. You don't need to worry as much about postflop play or propensity to c/r or slowplay or any style at this point. If the guy plays 9s2s, he probably doesn't have much in his bag of tricks.

Focus on noting the donks. Anyone not noted, you should assume to be solid until they confirm they aren't so, and play them as such.

Over time, you'll develop a more comprehensive notetaking system but if you're just starting (especially if multitabling), it can be a little daunting.

  • this guy is a donk and he keeps betting when he has nothing, all-in bluff a 40c pot with 3 dollors with 8/4o and stuff like that, was this a bad call?
