Player 2 - Bet $500 (he has me covered by around $1.5K)
Me - raise to $1500 ( I have about $2K left in chips)
Player 1 - folds
Player 2 - calls (hmm ?? 2Pairs, top pair, flush draw?..)

Player 2 - ALL IN

He has FH (KKK 99), I have original straight..

Did I mess this up? I could have ALL IN on flop I guess but him with 2pairs (K 9) he probably calls anyways

    Think I would too.
You didn't mess up. QJ preflop for free? I'll take it. You raised on the flop correctly, I don't think I would have gone allin either, but depending if I had a read that he would call me, I would have.
  • Argh. Put up a proper hand history along with some details of the players so we can do some real analysis.

I thought player 1 folded? Didn't you CR the flop?

You are worried about letting someone draw to 4 outs? You have to have a pretty good read not to call the all-in, getting close to 3-1 on your money.

You leave out all the details, all you will get is "sucks to get drawn out on"
  • good play, is there somewhere where I can get something that will record my hand histories for free?
  • Most sites allow you to call up hand histories under their OPTIONS heading. Just call it up, copy and paste for analysis.

If you have PokerTracker, you can store them and call them up anytime you want for your own review/analysis.

This was not online tourny. It was 75 people face to face in person. Hand history is pretty accurate as illustrated. I ran the hand through odds calc today and determined I was 79-21% fav after flop (2 pr vs my already made str8). I guess he was real lucky to hit his 6 outer on turn and move all in on me. If I fold I am crippled, If I call I go home..Thats poker I guess :/ It's stats but really a guessing game.
  • I don't think you did anything wrong here. An all-in pre-flop from you might have scared him off so I think your $1500 was a good bet. Your are committed just about from hereonin. Not a single thing you could have done about the outcome really imo
  • Seems I cant delete posts i've made, so if someone could delete this that would be cool. tthx

thanks for that! I am still learning that percentages play a part in decision making but the luck factor always seems to get me. I don't know how many times I have raised with KK and run into AA or a guy that ALL INS with Ace Rag and gets me. Percentages really anoy me...
