Does anyone play Poker In Canada

I've been playing Poker in Canada for some time now and out of the blue they disabled my account. They say they want a copy of my credit card, photo ID and a utility bill in my name. They also told me they want this from all of their players. I know other players who have been asked for this as well.

Has anyone else had this happen on this site or anyothers??

Back when blackjack whoring was good, I was asked for it from a couple of casino sites...Golden Palace and Cirrus if I recall correctly. Both Party and Empire (they're the same cashier but didn't share info, I guess) called me to verify information before processing a cashout. It's fairly standard and I think you'll see on most poker site Terms & Conditions that they reserve the right to verify your information.

Hollywood once froze my account and didn't give me an explanation for a few days beyond a vague "security check" answer, yet they didn't ask me for any information or want to speak to me. There was nothing I could do until they finished whatever it was they were doing.

This is standard on Full tilt before your first cashout is processed. Stars also did this to me after my account was "flagged" for reasons never fully explained.

Totally standard when playing at casinos online.. Poker is less often, but I've even had to send my creds into Party back in the day..
