Does anyone play Poker In Canada

I've been playing Poker in Canada for some time now and out of the blue they disabled my account. They say they want a copy of my credit card, photo ID and a utility bill in my name. They also told me they want this from all of their players. I know other players who have been asked for this as well.

Has anyone else had this happen on this site or anyothers??

Back when blackjack whoring was good, I was asked for it from a couple of casino sites...Golden Palace and Cirrus if I recall correctly. Both Party and Empire (they're the same cashier but didn't share info, I guess) called me to verify information before processing a cashout. It's fairly standard and I think you'll see on most poker site Terms & Conditions that they reserve the right to verify your information.

Hollywood once froze my account and didn't give me an explanation for a few days beyond a vague "security check" answer, yet they didn't ask me for any information or want to speak to me. There was nothing I could do until they finished whatever it was they were doing.
  • This is standard on Full tilt before your first cashout is processed. Stars also did this to me after my account was "flagged" for reasons never fully explained.
  • Totally standard when playing at casinos online.. Poker is less often, but I've even had to send my creds into Party back in the day..
