I started watching at about 1:30. I had it in the corner of my computer while I was “working”. When I was away from my computer I would glance over to see if a red shirt was on the screen and roll back over to my desk.
ok so I played like an even huger nit than usual early on because it's correct to with this structure. Then I just got dealt the nuts aka AKo a lot and moved in over raises. The hand where I moved in over the UTG raise with TT was a live misclick, I forgot the UTG guy raised. I would have just folded if I wasn't retarded because he was tight and there was no point playing a pot against him there given the chip counts/structure. Luckily he folded, can anyone tell me what he had there? I wouldn't have been surprised if he folded JJ but I guess I had the best hand given that no one has said anything about it. Then Mario would be proud of my A2o luckboxery, the call on Raymer was kind of marginal but I think I had to call as I obviously figure to have the best hand and he's the only one who had any idea how to play push/fold poker so if I bust him I'm in great shape. Thanks for the support, I'll post a more detailed report on my blog.
Oh yeah, Raymer was moving in with shit like 93. Portugal guy folded AK to Raymer's raise with similar shit. Everyone here threw up. There was like 6 of us all chatting away on MSN watching the match. GG.
We wanted to know what Negreanu was saying during the time out. The announcers were giving it to you pretty good on the K10 call after.
The re-raise against the dude in the blue shirt (Romania?), he had raised with AJo I believe, but your raise was excellent in the MSN group's opinion as I recall.
But yea... purple shirt guy's AK fold caused a collective wretching
Just want to say... the PokerStar blog has me really pissed off right now...
Daniel Negreanu, the celebrity player of Team Canada, has never been shy with the chat. And in the Gran Casino Barcelona yesterday, he was not only the loudest cheerleader, but also the master strategician, advising Michael Watson all the way to first place in the opening heat, and bolstering the confidence of Otto Byrne as he made his debut in a major poker tournament.
THANK GOD, Daniel was there or Mike would have never gotten first... blech. One day, they'll learn better, Watts!
I've got linux at work here (FC5)... can someone tell me what plugin I need to watch this? It keeps telling me click here to install missing plugin... so I click there and it opens the same page in a new window complete with another click here...

Well played, and well deserved victory.
Now the others have to hold up their end of the bargain!
(Anyone know the others playing for Canada, other than Daniel?).

Congrats Watts! That was fun *finally* getting to see you on "TV".
Yup. That's one buy-in where he plays

A2 is apparently the nuts.
Hopefully the rest of the team hold up there end.
Congrats Watts, that was some cool shit. It'll be cool to read your blog re:hands played...and more importantly, some that weren't played.
