Ouch. That sucks. But I take from the above that there were 8 seats available to be won? If so, then this is one of those situations where you've got to lay down your Aces. There's no first place to be won so winning big pots is less of a concern and the short stack is already in against the big stack, who of course has you covered. Let him do the work. You can pretty much guarantee he'll call even if you don't push here. The pot odds are there for just about ATK.
  • 11 Seats. I am out 22nd. Have to win at least one more substantial pot before I can coast in. 15K puts me in the drivers seat.

How can I fold in this pot? I have AA, Bullets, Pocket Rockets, American Airlines, Weapons of Mass Destruction, Le Grande Fromage, asdfjkllasdfljlk
  • You need to work on being able to fold your aces preflop when you lose with them.

I suggest Kreskin's Spoon bending book as a start..

I didn't even know it was possible to lose with AA until now. WTF???

Ah, totally different then. Now it just sucks.
  • Given the action and stack sizes, you couldn't have been too surprised that UTG+1 called your push, getting close to 3 to 1 and still having a decent stack if he loses.

So you can figure you are going all-in against 2 stacks with AA. Not a terrible situation but you have to figure you'll bust out 3 or 4 times in 10 tries. I'm not saying I'd even consider folding here this far from the bubble but I'm never shocked when I bust out in this kind of situation. Disappointed? Yeah. Poker is a mean bitch sometimes.
