    ZING!
  • your picks seem good with the exceptions of (in my opinon)these two games

Even without alexander seattle still has a high powered offence with hasselback, robinson and jackson. maurice morris is still a very good rb a down grade from alexander but more than enough to keep the offence going.
    SEA over TB

dallas will have an rb this week in julius jones and hopefully they will bench eddie george i expect testaverde to have a much better game. Dont let last week fool you clevland is not that good baltimore is over rated and week in all offencive positions.
    DAL over CLE

i dont know if i like buffalo over raiders either not that either team is all that strong. but i heard that travis henery is injured?
    so i would take
    OAK over BUF
  • man ATL is not gonna beat St Louis
they did start off slow last week it thats easy money right there.
What sportsbooks do u guyz use?
  • doesn't the spread matter....ALOT?
picking winners isn't nearly as hard as picking teams that will cover, so if you have a way for me to bet on nfl just by picking winners, i'm there.

ps. i use ladbrokes and willhill for all my betting needs
  • I'm on Bowmans - had a terrible weekend, although Washington and Tennessee saved my bacon.

This week my ultimate play is this three teamer - GB, NO, BAL - straight-up parlay. put down a brown.
  • Hey AK*1 week one killed me too. I think we made the same plays, because Titans and Redskins saved me too. I got killed on Bal, St.Louis and Pit. Do you use a capping forum?
  • I'm not sure what you mean by "capping forum".

I made two large prop bets on the sunday and monday nighters and lost them both... I am such a sucker for those kinds of bets, but I can't help myself.
  • Thanks guys. I had a hard time with Sea/TB game because SEA was so bad on the road last year. I think I will change it to Seattle though. Oakland and Buffalo, toss it up? I took Buffalo, what can you do? All of my others I will keep the same. I'll try and keep this a regular weekly dialogue for the NFL season. I'll post my results and would like to see yours. Thanks again. Btw im doing this for proline and for a work pool so any thoughts and suggestions help.

I'll give you a suggestion - you should place your bets with a sportsbook and forget about Proline. With Proline, all you can do is play parlays, and three-teamers at that. These kinds of bets are risky and very hard to win. Plus, they have the "tie" factor, which means if your team doesn't win by 4 or more, you still lose. This is robbery, and the reason why Proline is making millions.

At most books, you can make 1 dollar wagers. You can make about 1000 times more different kinds of bets as well, on anything and everything. Proline is just a bad call all around.

In my opinion it is much more profitable to play a bunch of single games anyways (which you can't do on Proline). Then maybe add a parlay bet for fun - or if you have a really good feeling about them. But the majority of bets I make are single game action. You'll probably see a higher win percentage over the course of a season, and get more money.
  • That's a great suggestion AK_1, thank you. I have been successful with proline, perhaps I could be more successful with a sportsbook. I have toyed with that idea for awhile now, thanks again.

  • No problem dude.

FYI - Bowmans.com has a 20% sign-up bonus. And if you do sign up there, please let me know, because I can get a $50 referral (if you put down $200 or more...) :) .
  • kc,gb,den,det,ind,pitts,no,st.l??,wash,sea,oak,cle,ne,jets,mia,phi. not sure if vick is somewhat hurt. 11 right last week straight up.
  • Teasers are also a great way to place bets. The beauty thing about teasers is that alot of the time both teams cover the spread and you can't lose no matter who you picked. The catch is that it doesn't pay as well. Usually around $100 for a $110 dollar bet.

I too like Seattle. Tampa also lost yet another receiver, leaving them with, umm, ahh, ohh, umm, NO ONE!

Ok so I can only brag about that pick ;) Man that was more difficult than I thought, 9-6 right now through 15 games this week.
