I just want to say that, firstly, I am extremely happy for All Aces. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, it was me, the "Teach", that took All Aces, that erudite son-of-a-gun out of Zithal's tournament. Yes, I completely outplayed this pseudo-celebrity. Devin, if you have a section in the video for "extremely aggressive players", I am your man. ScottyZ has played with me enough to confirm that I am your man for this.

Lol... thanks Al. Maybe I'll have a screening party. Most--if not all--of the material is probably stuff you already know, but I still think it's good for people to review 'the basics' every now and again, to re-focus their game. We play, and certain decisions are automatic. This project was an exercise in me asking myself (and, by extension, Scott and Dave) why are they automatic? Sometimes the answers are hard to put into words.
Putting all of that aside, I think it's safe to say that watching it should be a very amusing experience. Not unlike when you watched your cameo on the news with your buddies.

First off, congratulations to All_Aces on his DVD. I, like many of you enjoyed the quiz and are very happy for him. But I'd also like to come to the defense of BBC Z. The way I read his post, he's just a little annoyed that the real intention of All Aces' quiz wasn't specified, which is a complaint that I can understand. It wasn't lying but it was misleading. Personally, not a big deal to me but I can definetely see how that would rub some people the wrong way. And he never asked for any money for himself so i don't think so some of the comments directed towards BBC Z are warranted. Anyways, that's just my 2cents. Congrats again Aces.
Fair enough, and I totally understand what you're saying. As I said to my g/f though, if his concerns had been worded in a less offensive way, I wouldn't have taken offense to them. I'm a very reasonable person (or so I like to think ), and I've learned to pay attention to what people have to say, even if I don't agree with them.
However, when a post starts off like this:

When people post on forums, it's all about the words you choose to express yourself, because people can't hear the nature of your 'voice'. So, while his points may have been debatable, I found it impossible to debate them, because I was, frankly, shocked at the tone that was used to express his concerns. It was kind of mean, IMHO at least. Maybe some will accuse me of being too sensitive, but really, I'm not very sensitive at all. Decidedly insensitive, at times.... but like I said, all of this stuff is subjective. In my case, it's also personal, because I took it personally, so I'm unable to see any validity in his points (if they are indeed valid) from a purely objective standpoint.
