Their promos tend to be odd but frankly they seem like decent little freebies to me most of the time if one is inclined. Even with the free ticket thing which shockingly had some conditions (I do chuckle at those who deposited , did not play a hand then whined loudly about their ticket as if they truly earned it) they did have a couple freerolls as well associated with the deposit.
I got the email as well. I too am not a huge fan of the new look and play there very infrequently, but what the heck I will deposit $50 and if they send a chip set so be it, I will give it to a friend or something. If they do not, the world will keep on going.
I got the email, deposited, and moved the $ over. Didn't like how they don't have a direct moneybookers deposit, have to use the "send" option instead. If the airfare promo applies to this as well, we'll probably end up with a bag of chips.
I played a bit after the move but really don't like the changes.
I liked the old software too. This is the same interface that Supreme used. One thing that I noticed was in a tournament, when you get all-in and the cards turn over, it puts the %'s below both hands of winning and adjusts them after every community card.
At first I thought it was neat. I knew the percentages anyway, but it was nice not arguing in the chat window about outs/etc. However then in a tournament when I had strong hands and was twice called by gut-shot straight draws, the % comes up showing just how stupid the other guys' call was. Why are we educating the fish?!? :fish:
Anyway, I probably won't deposit, but I did get $10 free from them for answering a survey or something. It's now $21.75 - ohhh. I should have posted a DING!
Now that I have read the email I get the feeling it was sent to people who had less than $50 in their Paradise sportsbook account. The way their stupid software works you just have to transfer money from the sportsbook into the poker side to earn this bonus.

I had $200 in my account, deposited another $50 moved it over then emailed support. I got a reply saying that I will indeed get a chip set after July 31st. You do not need to play a single hand. If I ever find time with this new job I will play more of my bonus out there, the players are still horrible.
they emailed that nothing will be sent out until after July 31st. What the date has to do with anything I don't know. But, to them, it makes sense.
the last chq I requested from Paradise got "lost""computer glich""someone fucked up"....and must have for a lot of players, so, after 5-6 weeks, they credited our account 10% of the amt of the missing chq's and FedEx'd the money.
You should get the chips just in time to regift them for Christmas.
Never really played on Paradise, just deposited for this promo. I hate the system they have where u have to deposit on sporting bet then to paradise poker account. The graphics looked exactly like supreme.

I may make the deposit and see what happens as there is no mention of actually having to play anything
