Ok im going this weekend , and am wondering if anyone who has been or heard of what casinos offer the best poker? best tourneys and so on.... any type of useful info would be good , thanks in advance!
There are obviously many rooms to choose from. I would recommend Borgata, Tropicana and Taj Mahal. For tournaments, try the Showboat ($53+$12). It seems to have the best structure (i.e. doesn't turn into push-fest too quick).
The Tropicana is fun and has people from 21 to 50 or so. I did really well there one night when a bunch of 20-somethings came in and drank and played horribly.
The Taj Mahal is a nice room, but it is not as fun...age range is about 35 to 120...and I'm not kidding. Tip: great, cheap food can be had at the little hidden poker room restaurant...just ask anyone.
The Borgata is awesome. Huge room, good drinks, really hot waitresses.
If you're not staying right in AC but out on Rte #30 or something, here's a few tips:
Parking: park at Showboat, get a player's card, then it's free. Get a receipt when you park and you can park free at any other casino that day.
Food: Wawa stores (seem to be every few blocks) have great made-to-order sandwiches.
Don't fill up with gas until you get to Jersey...gas is much cheaper there..makes you realize how much tax is in gas prices: NY/PA is about $3.12 and NJ is about $2.68!!
Well I can describe the room..... Was there in April, awesome! I'm sure that as a condition of employment all of the waitresses get boob jobs. I've never seen so many perfectly identically sized chests in one room, even the oriental ladies.... wow! Guess this sounds a little sexist of me but it sure is pleasant. Any oh yea, the room decour is very nice, chairs are comfortable, tables are nice, dealers proficient... I would rate it at least on par with the Venetian in Vegas. Just do a search on Borgata pictures to see more...

Wow!!! great info man! ya i heard tropicana is a pretty good lil poker spot, imma have to check there for sure, but hmm i do love my boobs!! ahh boobs, sorry got lost there for a minute, but ya thx again and i will let yiu guys know how it went. Im looking more for the ring games then the tourneys.
Yeah the Borg is awesome. Very high ceilings, very well run, very hot waitresses....all make for a really nice atmosphere. You can get any beer you want (everyone was drinking Heini or Corona), where some of the other casinos give you a choice of plastic cups of Miller Lite draft or ... plastic cups of Miller Lite draft.
In my limited experience there (maybe 15 hours?) I found the Borg had better competition than the other places I played. but it was a pleasure to play there.
