Good luck, and keep it up (unless I'm in the tournament with you )
Nice run. Rock the variance.
POTD. Shit...message too short...stupid forum.
I thought the MiltonRocks was the team name for the ryder cup. I would really like to qualify and play for your team.
Don't we all? And just to clarify, I don't think the forum is collectively trying to rain down on your variance upswing (OK, maybe a little).
The point is, it can be very easy to fall into bad habits and overestimate how great our play is when things are running well. Similarly it can be easy to wonder if we know anything about this game, or wonder how we got "outplayed" when running bad (and if you haven't run bad yet, you will). In short we need to take both extremes with a grain of salt, because this game doesn't necessarily (immediately) correlate good play with winning money (or vice versa). Ie. you should still be striving to learn from your mistakes (and looking for the mistakes in the first place) when running well, as well as not needing a complete overhaul in your game when you start running bad.
seriously can we just combine the threads
I'm happy for you for winning ....
And ...
The following sounds like preaching but I think the other forum members will think this is the biggest favor I can do for you. I hope this doesn't come off as too harsh or condescending.
Stop what you're doing.
Stop what you're thinking.
You really Really need to fix your whole perception or paradigm of gambling:
Easiest way.
Buy Gambling Theory and other Topics by Mason Malmoth.
Read it.
Understand it.
Live it.
Or you will never understand how to think like a winning gambler and be a have to a gambling career as a loser.
Seriously...
The best thing you can do is change your whole way you think about gambling.
