Mobile Poker is awesome!!!

Okay.....are you guys ready for the new wave?? Yep...it's mobile poker...and anyone who is on the go as much as I am will appreciate this as much as I do!!! This service allows us poker junkies to enjoy our favorite SnG's AND cash games all on a mobile device (even a phone). On top of that, the site that I play on (Pokerroom.com) is currently offering a promotion that allows you to win a cool high tech mobile device to play on. If anyone is interested, I would definitely recommend that you check it out....as I am sure you will hear about this new technology over the course of the WSOP this year.

is there unlimited data plan out there?
  • Yes there are unlimited data plans out there and apparently they are not even that expensive. I contacted Rogers the other day and they informed me that I could add the unlimited data package to my account for less than $150 per month!! (which is not bad at all if you are making any sort of money online). As far as the other question goes; you are not able to play mobile poker on just ANY phone. I believe the phone has to be web enabled GSM phone....but if you purchased your phone within the last 2 years....then it probably is. As I was saying before, Pokerroom is offering a freeroll tourney right now that awards the winner with a brand new cell that is perfect for playing mobile poker. Here is the link for anyone that is interested:

ROFLMFAO. I wonder what you would define as expensive. My cell phone bill is $8.50 per month. Ask Rogers for that plan.
  • Hey Moose

How did you get a plan for $8.50/month??? Do you use your cell a lot?
  • I kept calling to cancel telling them it was too much. They kept cutting the price. Last November I finally got it cut from $11.50 to my new ultimate low. Then they sent me a new phone in Feb. ha ha ha. I love Rogers.

    You are my hero.

Be careful. There is not such thing a true unlimited package. They cap it at 200MB/month I think.

So if you use it as I do with my laptop (business) you really have to watch your usage.
  • What is included for $8.50/month? Do you get any minutes at all?
  • Yeh its a good thing... i am exited to know that all procese. I realy want to play poker games in my cell phone.
  • Unfortunately for us rural bums we have very limited service. The only reliable provider I can get (and they aren't that reliable) is Telus.
  • What is included for $8.50/month? Do you get any minutes at all?

    It's 40 min/month. All I need. Cheaper than PAYG.
  • Thought for that price the phone must be "Rotary Dial"
But then I thought, How would a Moose get those big hooves (sp?) into the little holes?
