Andy Philachack moved all in and Phil Hellmuth made the call. Philachack turned over :Ac :10c and Hellmuth turned over :As :3h . Fate was thick in the air as the board hit the table :9h :4c :3d turn :Qh river :Jh . Hellmuth won his record eleventh gold bracelet by winning the $1,500 no-limit hold'em event. He took home $637,254 in prize money, but more importantly he made history by topping Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan for the all-time lead in number of World Series of Poker bracelets. Philahack was eliminated in second place and he took home $394,594 in prize money.

    yep, he'll write a few more books, and i don't think he's #1, but ill admit his style is pretty hard to beat.

  • wow how big of a heads up win was that when it was helmuth vs chan heads up in 89 , johnny chan won back to back years before that 87, and 88, if chan could of won that he would of been the first.
