Local girl makes final table - WSOP Event #2

I'm sure many of you know Meaghan (Mee-gan) Larivee who is a dealer at Brantford. She finished seventh in the Casino Employees No-Limit Hold'em - Event #2 at the WSOP this year. There were 1,039 casino employees with a buy-in of $500 each.

Congratulations to Meaghan!

  • I knew many of the Casino Brantford dealers were going to play at the WSOP, but her photo does not look familiar to me.

By the way, does anybody know what are the specific requirements to play at Event #2? I searched the WSOP website but could not find any details. Is an AGCO dealers license enough? Is a pay stub from a casino required and would the CNE Casino qualify? Maybe playing at this WSOP event will be one of my poker goals for 2008. :)

If you've played at Brantford, there's a good change you will recognize Meaghan.

Meaghan's a great girl, and I'm sure all BCC regulars are thrilled at her result.

And, the blog comment is very true ...

"Meaghan got her last chips in against Charles Fisher, but her hand didn't hold up. Meaghan was the last woman remaining in this event. Trust me when I tell you that this final table is much less attractive without her sitting there."
