Any Poker games in Victoria

Im a newcomer!, not to the game of poker!! but to the forums, anyways i was wondering if there is any poker games in victoria, bc area, i play once a week but still craving for me, yesterday i just won a 20 people , 2 tables tourament, took home 800 bucks...sweetest win ever!!!

    Where was this tournament if you don't mind me asking? I am also in Victoria and I would love to get in on this sort of thing.

    As far as your question, there are a lot of games in the city, but you pretty much need to know someone to get in any of them. Victoria used to have poker at the casino here but since that stopped, it has moved underground for the most part. I have played in some of the local games but there are many that I know about and have never played in.

    It would not be a stretch to say that one could easily play 3-6 or smaller games 24 hours a day, seven days a week in this city. The real problem is just that you really need to get to know guys if you want to get involved with most of them - and you won't find people volunteering too much info about these games online.

    Sorry to not be more help. It took me two years to find games in this city but I was amazed by what was out there when I did. Just keep asking around - it will pay off.
