Anyone had trouble cashing out from Paradise?

With Neteller stopping services to poker rooms for Canadians I requested cheques from every site and opened up a chequing account specifically for my bankroll. I was surprised when Paradise was the quickest to get a cheque to me....I've always found their support horrible. They were the only site to send the cheque in CDN dollars as well(It came from Vancouver?). Anyways, all the other US cheques cleared but yesterday my bank returned the Paradise cheque?
It's only $225 but it's $225 I don't want to lose. To their credit they were quick to reply to me this time..although the department that they say can resolve this will be off until Tuesday I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever had trouble cashing a cheque from Paradise?
When I think back it did kind of look like something someone printed off on their printer at home? :)

  • Try cashing out to credit card instead. TD does NOT have a service charge.
  • I wonder if it has to do with the move to the Boss network. This is apparently happening this week.
  • Email from Paradise today.. The resurrection of Paradise?

    *************** From Paradise *****************
    Dear player,

This is a very important announcement about your ParadisePoker account.

From Thursday May 24th 2007, your poker account will change forever as ParadisePoker move to a new and improved software.

In 2004 Sportingbet PLC group purchased ParadisePoker and we are now merging all our players on to one improved poker standard: the NEW ParadisePoker. This means more players, more action and more ways for you to win!

Login any time from Thursday using your existing username and password and after a very short upgrade process you will be taken to the new Paradise Lobby. It is important to note that you will still be playing on new software so navigating the lobby and playing at the tables will be slightly different to what you are used to.

The new ParadisePoker will offer you enhanced graphics which are easier on the eye for those long sessions in front of your screen. We will also introduce a new chip transfer system offering more funding methods and easier management of your money.

Your new Sportingbet/ParadisePoker account will now also allow you to play in the NEW ParadiseCasino & Blackjack and place sports wagers through the award winning Sportingbet.com. Your existing account balance and bonuses will be transferred automatically.

The new ParadisePoker will offer you exclusive promotions such as Paradise RUSH where one player will win a shopping spree worth €100,000, The New World where one player will walk away with the $100,000 first prize, Monday Night Takedown (the biggest bounty tournament on the net) and WSOP Last Chance.

Click on the link for instructions on the upgrade.

We will be in touch again in the next few days but in the meantime if you have any questions regarding this upgrade please contact customer services by emailing support@paradisepoker.com.

    Best Regards,
    ParadisePoker
    A Sportingbet brand.
  • Got the same one Jeff
  • I guess I can kiss the $650 in bonuses I had stored up goodbye.

Continue whoring away Moose, my bonus money shows on the new site as well.
  • I don't think they could ever remove stored up bonus money.

By the way, did anyone really enjoy the site before the merger with Sportingbet? I found traffic to be very slow and not much you could buy with the accumulated points.
  • Every other skin swap I have gone through took away my bonus money and/or rakeback.
    GPP
    Doyle's Room
    Nine

BTW Mansion is swapping skins. You only have a few days to get grandfathered in. The new skin will not allow rakeback.
  • I think it is hilarious from a forum perspective that Paradise is now on the same network as Supreme.
  • I had no problem getting Paradise cheque cleared. It was about $850 CDN.

I was loving those Paradise bonii. Anyone know if anymore are on the horizon?
  • Well, they handled this issue very quickly and professionally...I have dumped on Paradise in the past but in this case they're customer service was excellent.

The cheque is on the way back to them and then they will do a wire transfer to my bank with compensation!

I have about $240 in bonus money there too...hope it transfers to the new site!
  • Well, I checked out the new software today....and....I hate it but I have a few hundred in bonus money so wtf, might as well finish it. It appears the rake requirements will remain the same on the new network, that is each hand raking $0.25 will count....however they doubled the time it takes by realeasing only $5/100 hands rather the the old $10/100 hands pay out structure. I have contacted support to see if this is true for only new bonuses starting May 24th and on...no reply yet.

Nice to see the bonuses stayed with us at least!
  • Dude it's the same software as Supreme . A huge step backwards for Paradise. They are toast.

Also no PT on the new site. :(
  • Check your email for a free $5.
  • I don't play at Supreme....maybe that's why?

    :)
  • You never signed up? Supreme Freerolls with forum members = $278
The software was so bad I never played one ring game or tournament there.

I wonder what cash outs Paradise has now?

I have about 1000 in bonus money but no cash. I had taken all my earnings off there a while back when the traffic dried up. What can I use the bonus dollars for? I don't see anywhere I can use them....

Are the Supreme freerolls still going? Maybe I should sign up. I did sign up when Supreme first was mentioned on this site but found that finding a game was next to impossible...seemed the 6 other members were playing higher levels at that time. I think I logged in three or four times then never went back. :)

I doubt I'll play the rest of my bonus on Paradise now, they doubled the amount of raked hands needed and payout $5/100 hands rather then $10/100....Bastards....add that to the painful software and it ain't worth it.
