I'm not sure why you consider this a bad beat. Your opponent when all-in with the best hand; you called when you were behind.
Congratulations on the payout.
Was kind of wondering that myself.
Congrats on the money.
To expand my range and put said party on tilt...
...and you didn't so now you must be behind already...
...so why are you calling on the flop with no draw, nothing what-so-ever? The goal was to steal. When that doesn't happen, you don't change your goals. You can only raise or fold here.
Now you are just spilling chips. When he checks, you check. Hopefully he bets the river so you can gracefully fold without revealing what your steal range is.
What I don't get is this is just before final table. The big stack on your table folded, so you were above everyone else left to act. You obviously were willing to call a shove by anyone else so why didn't you just shove first? If that wasn't your intent for the hand then you should have folded on villian's shove. At this stage I can't really see weaker hands than yours, only calling. Unless you have been very aggressive and stealing a lot, unlikely a weaker hand shoves over you. So you must have been willing to take the flip, knowing you were behind, against 2 stacks, equal in strength to yours. Shove first and get more of the marginal hands (that are ahead of you) to fold.
Your comments and actions just don't match. If you were swinging for the fences by calling the shove, then you can't be disappointed with 10th. If you are disappointed with 10th then you should have folded. You would have been left with a healthy stack and still could have made the deeper money.
I am not commenting on which play is better, only that you should approach each hand with a specific goal in mind. Plan the hand out, play it to meet that goal and don't be disappointed with the result if the way you played the hand matches that goal.
I basically had to call...Most of my friends that are internet pros agreed with the call...
