  • I heard the 5/10 Rama is just as bad as the 2/5. Very loose, can you beat the 2/5 Rama well?
  • I usually play 5 10 and I left Port Perry last month after the big tourney they have once every two months because most of the good players were there and the line up for a seat was huge! Finnished 11th, Dam. 10th played $500.00, 11th payed a t shirt :banghead:

Drove to Rama to play 5 10 and got a seat in 10 min. Boy do the players play Bad (loose). I was up $425.00 in just over an hour. It did help that I got good playable cards.

In general the players at Rama play very loose, it may be because there are so many tourists and they are not familiar with the game.

If you are looking to play at either, I would suggest Rama as if you know your game, you can do well.
  • I've never tried Rama specifically, but of the Port Perry, Brantford, and Point Edward (Sarnia) 5-10 games, I have found the Port Perry to be generally the toughest.

  • contradictory to what others say, i've had more success with 5/10 at Port Perry than Rama. I find Port Perry to be a much looser game and more laid back. The problem with 5/10 at Rama is that you have a lot of players who have moved up from 2/5 and play very tight=minimal profits (or if you're like me, it's usually a loss! lol).
    just my personal observations, meh

This brings up a good point that complete beginners almost always play the lowest stakes offered in a casino. In terms of game softness, the Port Perry and Point Edward 5-10 games probably benefit greatly from the fact that no 2-5 game is offered.

On the other hand, a lot of it is relative. A 2-5 player's definition of "playing very tight" when moving up to 5-10 may very well co-incide with my defintion of "playing unbelievably loose". ;)
