Would -you- consider this angling?
$1/$2 NL Hold'em (live cash table at a casino)
UTG 1-3 fold, I raise it to $15 with QQ, folds all-around to the BB who makes it $50 total. (this guy just gave away his stack, so I think he could be tilting. The chip runner had literally just brought him a new $200 at the start of this hand.). Since I thought he was weak, I pondered just pushing right there, but I wanted to feel him out on the flop and possibly get the rest of his chips, so I just called.
9 high flop, and he instantly pushes all-in for his remaining $150. I feel that he’s got a couple high cards at this point, so to get some info I ask, “Do you want me to call?”. The next thing I know the dealer’s giving me sh*t for angling (new dealer that I’ve only seen there a couple times).
Given the following factors, would you consider this angling?
I should’ve asked the pit afterwards but I ended up getting involved in the next couple hands and then I didn’t think about it before I went home shortly after. I'm going to ask the next time I'm there, but I wanted to know if anyone else thinks of this as angling.

Given the following factors, would you consider this angling?
- We were heads-up
- My opponent was already all-in
- Nothing I say or do at this point can change his actions
- I didn’t say anything about my hand or what I thought he had, all I said was, “do you want me to call?”

Why, is Casino Niagra bad for stuff like that?
But asking that is not an angle shoot.
But seriously tell the dealer to STFU. Your question is totally legit.
i have seen what you are talking about on WSOP televised events for millions of dollars. granted they are supposed professionals, i use the term loosely as i have seen grade school behaviour from them, and the rules might be looser in a main event like that. he was probably new or his boss was standing right there and he was angling for some asskissing points for himself. some of the nicest guys at work can be real jerk offs when the boss is around. ???
