monster under the bed

tonight, i have been fcuk over by luck.
i can't express my frustration.
i think i lost 15 tourny again. this tie with my all time high loosing streak.
i have my bad runs, but my biggest problem. there always a monster under the bed.
45 player tourny
4300 in stack,
blind 150/300
AA raise 4x blind in UTG.
BB caller (2400)
flop 225.
BB went all in (1200)
he call with 50% of his stack, i can't put him on anything with a 2 or 55.
KK-99 are most likely. so i call. would you made this call?
He has A2d.........i found a monster.

next hand
AJs in BB
table folded to SB, the same fcuking guy put me all-in
i think my AJs is good here. so I call.
SB turn over A4s (heart) (oh yaa, give me back my chips).
Flop is 3 heart give him the nuts. river is a 4 (i take it as insult...if he didn't have suited card, i would still lose)

Fire out another tourny SNG 9 player
4 player left, i'm the chip leader
table fold to SB. SB limp (tricky player)
AQ on BB. standard 3x raise.
SB call
FLOP A2Q
SB check,
i bet 1/4 of the pot.( looks like continuation bet. setting up a trap here)
SB call.
Turn 10,
SB mini bet.......this worry me, he could call with KJ and made the straight or he is trying to repesent str8,......no clue where i stand here.
I just flat call. (i didn't raise, because i can't call the all-in reraise here. i option to see the cheap river which i have 4 out)
Turn Q <- yes
SB check, I put him all-in.
SB called, turn over AA......found another monster
not only i play my AQ wrong, I got totally out play here.
SB comment: if i know you have AQ, i did push it on the flop.
everything make sense here.
i write this for four reason:
1) this remind me of the movie "rounders"
2) if i raise on the turn, do you think SB will fold set of A? would you fold set of A?
3) I want to know if i actually have a chance to win this pot? or the only correct action is the raise on the turn, then folded if reraise back to me.
4) If he just call my raise, what would you do on the river, A) if he check? 2) if he bet?

Today, I must got bust out by AA like 10 times.
I admit, i'm a Donk, I keep telling myself, what are the chance i run into AA again. How can i run into so many AA in one day. Frustation is killing me.
I don't think fulltilt is rigge, because......
Friday night, Home game.
6 player, I knock out 4.... huge chip lead into headup.
Blind 2000/4000
I deal the card.
I look down AK. I went all-in bully :)
my friend say ok. he turn over AA....... ok
next hand.
he deal the card.
I look down 99
my friend raise 2x of the blind. I just say All in.
he turn over AA WTF short stack now.
next hand
i deal the card.
I look down KK. i limp. he check.
flop is safe.
my friend bet, I raise he all-in.
he turn over AA............the worse thing, I dealt the card.........
From Good friday-Eastern monday, I just keep running into AA, Is god try to tell me something?

i think we all know the answer to this...
  • Chuckie, I'm sorry pal, but your posts are all the same, and you're not very likely to get any helpful responses anymore since all it is now is your repetitive bad beats.

Everyone gets tired of bad beat stories, and everyone (EVERYONE) on here has had the same things happen to them.

Just play well and work through it.

    thanks man, i know
but i don't consider those bad beat.
i just need to write this, so i can get it off my chest...
it's very frustrate, when you run into big hand after big hand.
This is worse then getting bad beat one after another.
at least, with bad beat... you know, you out play them, got out draw.
This, i don't even know, if i got out play or just unlucky to run into so many AA.

Hey man, vent all you want. We as the reader don't have to read bad beat posts if we don't want to right? So, if it helps ease the pain post 'em all man, venting is very healthy and can help get over these set backs. Sounds to me like you had a very unlucky weekend, the good/bad thing about luck is it's bound to change!

  • If it helps let me tell you about a hand last night....

I have AA in EP (utg+2) and raise pre-flop (.50/1.00 limit). Utg had called. It get's re-raised from a MP player and capped from an LP player. UTG calls $1.50 cold!!!!!!

Flop AKx rainbow, checked to me, I bet and am re-raised, utg calls 2 bets cold!!!!! We cap with three players left to the turn, a blank but puts a flush possibility up. I bet and am called by both players. The river is a J, I simply cannot put anyone on QT. I bet and utg raises me. I have to call and he shows QTo...yeah, give it to me prison style baby!!!

So...it happens to everyone..just find a way to vent the anger away so it doesn't take you off your game for future hands!

My issue is that you actually think that there is any way to flop getting 5:1 and a low card flop? If you really do think that you had to play it differently, you should give up poker.

After that hand, I stopped reading.

Well, then I fold as soon as the river hits, you wouldn't even have to bet it :)

Eric, I thought Fixed Limit was dead to you.

I guess he just couldn't get enough of losing with AA.

I knew someone would pick up on this hehe, nice catch Johnnie!!!!!

I actually did some "testing" and on Tower the points needed to clear the bonus rake faster at .50/1.00 limit then they do at $25 NL. I still play NL but went back to playing limit again as well...I'm so fickle!

Wolffhound made a good point, after making only one deposit 2 years ago for $100 playing strictly $.50/1.00 limit has netted me over $6,000 US now, as a very casual hobby I certainly can't complain.....and I must be doing something right?

So far coming back to limit is swinging up my bankroll even with the odd bad beat, I still can't get over how absolutely terrible the players are at these limits?

On that note....has anyone noticed a trend starting with people playing like absolute maniacs at micro levels, raising every single hand, re-raising, playing way over aggressive with absolutely nothing...is this a European thing? I play mostly on Eurobet, Tower, and Paradise with a lot of European players and I've noticed more and more some yahoo will sit down and just throw their money away, patience will result in taking most of their chips...I love that part of it but it is starting to piss me off a bit?
