I can see your Hole Cards!

Someone told me there was software out there that reveals other players hole cards. Apparently it's for sale at Ebaby. Anyone heard of this? Or believe it's out there?

Would you like to buy a bridge? I'm selling it cheap.

    Just kidding.

Not possible. Not worth going into.
    Put it this way.
Next time someone swears to you they have "seen it with their own eyes".
Look them in those eyes and call them a liar.

    Simple as that.
  • Yes I've heard of it and NO I don't believe it. It's another I need your bank account info to transfer 1.5 million from Nigeria
  • well, it does exist. it just doesn't work the way they describe it. you can buy it and find out for yourself...

I am calling you a liar as stated by my earlier post.

Cliff's notes version of why it doesn't exist:
The other players cards are not sent to your computer from the pokersites server until the hand is OVER.

The flop/turn and river cards are not known until the time they are called for.
They use a continuous shuffle system.

So, if you still say it does exist, then you are either
    a) "Stupid" for not purchasing it.
    b) Unaware of how the pokersites acutally operate.

I just reread this, and didn't mean it as a personal attack, so please don't take it that way, but you sir Are just plain Wrong.

P.S. As for the buy it and try for yourself line, I REeeeeeeeeeeeaaaally wouldn't recommend it not for the fact of moral reasons etc etc, because if it really did work or was available I would mortgage the house for a copy, but the reason you don't want to buy and install it, is simple:
You will be more than likely installing a keylogger onto your computer, and then you can say BYE BYE BankRoll.

What makes you think the information needs to be sent to your computer?

Maybe the programs work by intercepting the information as it is sent to the other players' computers.

Not that I think any of those programs actually work, it's just that your reasoning for why it's impossible is flawed.

  • The software program would have to be installed on the server for that to be a possibility... It is just not possible for that to be an actual working program. There is so much encryption on the actual poker server that it would be like breaking into a banking computer system... Have you seen a program that does that? Didnt think so...

    Not possible...

ok, fair enough, then i am calling you an illiterate idiot. isn't name calling fun?

reread what i said. then review basic english if necessary.

these programs DO exist. you can buy them right now. they just don't work the way they tell you they do. did i say they'd make you a million dollars overnight? did i say i would even consider trying to use one? did anyone mention they are a scam?

If they do exist, why wouldn't you buy one?
Why wouldn't you be sitting at the $300/600 NL game on Full Tilt or other similarly high stakes games, and pretty much make a million dollars over night?

In fact, Why would anyone sell this for $20 $50 or Even $10,000?
When the money they could make is endless.

Along with those statements, the "Seeing the other guys holecards program" holds the same amount of truth.

Here you go, I did you one better.

EDIT : Link Removed to prevent someone from losing their money. (James).

Try it out, let us know how it works mkay?

$50 and you can make millions.

This can't be a scam, I mean it's on the internet right? It has to be true!
  • it is possible that this program is real. you have to have a deal or work something out with the poker site. Anyone heard of the poker show poker night live??????? They covered online poker showing everyones hole cards, but with a five minute delay so you cant be playing and watching the show at the same time. This technology does exist but you cant use it while playing a actual game as there is a delay with the poker site.

sheesh, i never said i DID buy one! i'd never buy one of these things. they are a total scam. i'm not quite gullible enough to buy one.

all i said is programs that claim to show you your opponents hole cards exist. YOU can buy one. i never said they worked! i agree, there is a very good chance you'd be installing some variant of spyware.

they don't work the way the marketers make you think they will. they will either tell you the hole cards the guy had the last time he called to the river (by reading the hand history). or, worst case, they tell you the hole cards of everyone using the program (and guess what, they tell everyone else using the program, YOUR hole cards...). either way, not worth squat.

people need to learn how to read more carefully and use some critical judgement. what are they teaching kids these days?

    Please accept my apology.

I have also seen something similar to this program that allowed me to see other player's cards - but not in poker. When MSN zone was a cult, all sorts of cheat programs came out that enabled users to see other's cards. Of course I didnt believe it but being the inquiring mind that I am, I went to the hacksite and downloaded one of these programs to see if they worked. Please dont think I did it to cheat - I did it to see if it was possible - and sure enough it was. I am not a programmers so I dont know "how" it did this but somehow it created a connection between me and my partner and I was able to see all his cards and from that deduce the cards the other two opponents held. It really bothered me that something like that existed and I could never understand why anyone would even want to cheat at a card game.

Poker however involves cash - and there I see a very good reason why people would want to cheat. So I am still not totally convinced that this is not possible. I don't play high stakes so for someone to get rich offa me it would take them a kazillion years. I just wanted to know if people had heard about the program and if it was really possible.

I remain unconvinced... but then thats part of being blonde, lol.
  • This was a funny thread to follow - especially since I knew exactly what Greg was getting at...

Think of it as the program that will give you AA everytime - yes Aces everytime -

Biggest problem? The aces appear on your screen but don't do shit for you since the online site doesnt recongnize them...

Reading comprehension is always helpful when replying.
