Math call with 73o... Do you think I'm an idiot?
Here's the situation. There's a $3/$6 player sitting at our $1/$2 table (it was late and all the $3/$6 tables had broken), basically raising and gambling with any two cards. He and his buddy were just screwing around, and I knew it was just a matter of time before one of them gambled at the wrong time.
The two of them decided to leave, and on the last hand one of them went all-in blind for about $100. I was on the button with two people to act behind me. The small blind didn't seem to have any intention of calling, and the big blind really wanted to call, but you could tell it would have been a gamble for him and that he didn't really have that good of a hand.
I look down and find 73o. Normally I would just throw this away in this spot, but then the guy showed me pocket twos, the small and big folded out of turn. I just felt that I was good. I had missed my 45/51 when I was slightly behind coin flips the last 9 times in a row. Variance should kick in right?
I called and lost. I actually felt really good about the call though, all things considered...Sure I -could- have waited for a better spot, but I was up for a bit of a gamble, and ultimately it came down to a math decision.
Usually when I go to the casino I'm there with a buddy of mine, and when he saw my cards he was basically completely sickened. Even though I explained about the math and variance he still couldn't believe I made the call.
So, I ask you this... would -you- make that call? And why?

I seriously love though the "poker talk" that goes on with some players here, like EV + - 0.4 variance etc... Sure you can overanalyse the hand after the fact, but theres no fucking way all that goes through your head before you make a call or raise. It's reads, instict and odds.
Or yes you call?
Please justify how you are "donk" if you don't make that call?
Oh, and with regards to your previous "Bruson" comment. What exactly is this INSTICT you use?
Now as for the call......
What was my Brunson call? All I remember regarding that is asking for the quote where he says to fold bottom set on a connecting flop, cause I don't believe he ever said that. And see the other forum for your answer to #1
You say you hate whining (which I wasn't even doing), but that's exactly what you've been doing about my post.
Two wrongs make a right.
And I do have too much time on my hands. Sunday to Wednesday I am totally bored.
Thanks to another newb for giving me something to do and responding so perfectly predictably to my nonsense.
Mad props Donktor. Mad props!
Try not to break another rib while licking your owns stamps, bro!
lol...Homer loves Peanut butter.
You play poker now? Cool. What the hell do you think ODDS are aside from EV + - 0.4 variance? Did your opponent flip the cards face up?

My thoughts exactly, although I was unsure if this was just pointing out the obvious...
