Playing against loose Villain

Crypto - mjb2006 is 23/14 through 57 hands.

I didn’t want to define my hand against him pre-flop which is why I just called.

Thoughts on what to do on turn?

But this leaves his hand as undefined as yours is.

The raise smells like a steal attempt to me. Of course he might have a set though. And if he's capable of raising 10 8, 8 5 or 3 5 pre-flop then he might have a straight. Also could just be semi-bluffing a flush draw or OESD.

Either way, I call, and check/call on a non-scary river.

That's something I would only do if I had position. I think it's a really bad idea to do this OOP, because you're just going to run into this scenario too often.
