online buy in vs live buy in?

can anybody give me an idea
i know typical online 0.15/0.25 or .25/.50 NL cash game is equal to 1/2 NL live game. (level of playing)
so for tourny
say

  • I don't know if this helps but here goes. I play 1/2 and 2/4 limit on line and 5/10 at least live. I play .25/.5 and .5/1 on line and play 1/2 to 5/5 live. I hate to pay over $30 to play a tourney yet I'll buy myself into 200-500 events live.
  • First off, I'd love to know whom you play with at 1/2NL that equal to .10/.25 online. Could you PM me the location of this game? I ought to win enough to cover my expenses. :D

But for a Tournament by-in, it all depends on the players, and their attitude towards the game. To some, $10 is a "big" game, and to some it's a Small Blind.

Generally under less then $20 is considered "low level". However, I would humbly say that my fellow KW forum friends are good enough to play in a $500 MTT at a local casino. We all play the same for $5 or $50.
  • I"ve seen tighter .25/.5 games on line than 1/2 casino games. Even some of the 5/5 NL games I've played in clubs can be pretty loose.
