Calling all Donks!!!!

Ok, everyone is sick of bad beats, how about some posts on hands were your opponent(s) were complete and utter donkeys and helped you pad your wallet.

I had this hand last night...wtf was he thinking?

I was prepared to dump this unless the flop hits me hard.

FLOP [board cards 7H,9H,QS ] shazam!
Donk.E checks, mmmaddog_vp checks, c2iverson bets $5, Donk.E bets $10, mmmaddog_vp folds, c2iverson calls $5. Huge overbet screams 'I have Shit!' to me. I didn't want to scare him off but am going to push the rest on the turn for sure. No way I'm not way ahead here.

  • I don't know whether you can call this a complete donk call from my opponent, unless he figured I was a donk since I only bought in for $20 (since I was at work). I'd be thinking twice about my hand tho if I was him. I honestly expected him to turn over AK.

unfortunately I didn't benefit from it...but seemed donkish.
  • What is with people raising with JK...am I missing something, this is not a good hand...granted there are situations where a raise is ok but from EP come on? I see this on-line all the time and absolutely love when I'm sitting there with AK or KQ to take their money? Mind you I doubt I'm calling $5 with TJ suited or not either?
  • I raise with any 2...are those good cards?

Same here, see my signature :)

  • I don't mind the raise with KJo at all.

Is the calling off 200.00 with fk-all and no draws that I found donkish.

you are way off. he had 2 overs (how could he know one was no good?) , a gutshot, and runner-runner for a straight AND a flush. and getting almost 2 to 1 pot odds. unfortunately no fold equity. but he did have the potential to build a great image and the value of that can't be discounted either.
  • btw the forum idea is excellent. Raising w/any 2 cards is fine as long as you are the aggressor and if things get too ugly u can fold.

Had a long reply typed out as to why I don't like it but fuck it, it really ain't worth it....and I'm glad people play it, it's paying for my cottage this summer.
  • Ok, this right here is the definition of my opponents handing me their money.

I sit down at 0.05/0.10 NLHE game on Stars. First hand I'm in the BB and I'm dealt AA. It's folded around to the button who pushes. I make the easiest call of my life. He turns over 7-10.
