Just thought that you'd like to know that the rogers pvr's now have the firewire connections active.

I can actually watch pre-recorded video on my pc and am trying to figure out how to capture the video to a DVD

    I have been looking into the PVR.

    Is it worth buying or do these things crap out alot and should I rent?

    I've had mine for 3 years now and really the only issue was the hard drive. But given the amount of recording I do, not really a big issue.

    I'd buy Standard def, but probably just rent the HD

    There was recently a big sale on hd pvrs. Can't remember how cheap, but it was cheap. I bought mine at $500 and its worth every penny.

    So Hobbes, theres a firewire connection on the back of my pvr?
