Las Vegas Hotels

Hey guys;

A few friends of mine (mostly non poker guys) are taking me to Vegas for my stag. We will be going in May. Does anyone have any codes, promos, etc for hotels on the strip. We don't want to stay at Venetian, but not the Flamingo either.

Any hints or help would be appreciated.
Thanks

  • Is there something wrong with the Flamingo? That's where I'm staying this weekend... but I probably won't be in the room much, if at all. And no, I didn't book it myself... it was the russian twins ;)

  • I actually like the Flamingo, bright, clean hotel and in the centre of the strip with in walking distance to the other big hotels.
  • Stay at Bally's. Big rooms, central strip, inexpensive.
  • For the amount of time you spend in your hotel room anything centre strip is usually preferred.

    I have had the luxury of staying at a few different hotels in LV

    Treasure Island -Nicer rooms but not worth the extra moneyI wasn't a fan of the casino as well.

    Imperial Palace - 15 yrs ago wasn't bad now I heard it isn't the best but location and poker comps are nice

    Harrah's - Always an expensive hotel for some reason. Great location not worth paying regular rates. If you have a degenerate gambling Bro that gets everything comped you can't complain thou :)

    Circus Circus - If you need to get away and be a kid again you can actually enjoy this place. The $20 in the arcade/games area is far cheaper then the hundreds you lose at the tables.

    Last time there I stayed at Casino Royale. Probably one of my best trips. Centre strip for $59 to $99 a night is unbeatable. The rooms are big and the service was actually some of the best I have had. They also have a sit down mini craps table and BJ Switch how can you go wrong.

    I am off to LV in mid March and had to book the Sahara. Not sure what to expect but we will see. The hotel selection was slim at that time due to Nascar and march break but we will make the best of it. Also their poker tourneys are very playable. You may want to try downtown it looks like a fun place to stay as well.

    have a great time.
  • What you should do is go directly to various hotel sites online and sign yourself up to receive their e-specials and newsletters. You'll get so tired of receiving "special offers" you'll almost wish you never asked them for their "deals". Some of them are extremely good! If you sign up for the slot club membership online the deals get even better for those that offer this online service. Imperial Palace is my suggestion but that's because I've been staying there since 1982 and now don't even have to pay for my rooms and I am not a high roller...LOL I play $2/4 limit sit-and-gos for 4 or 5 hour shifts and only about $50 - $100 a day on slots.
  • treasure island is amazing. went there for a honeymoon. for a little more cash, try the bellagio. cant go wrong there
