multi-tournment at once! bad idea

i just wondering, how many of you, play more then 1 tournment at the sametime?
I used to do that, until now, which i swear, i will never player 2 or more tournment at once.
if at one of tournment, some donk got lucky on you, all the tournments are at risk of tilting.
i'll post the hand that crack me. afterwards, i play like donky on other tournment.....but i just don't get donk lucky.(how unfair).

  • Well this solves my problem of searching for that bad beat thread. Just wanted to share my statistical BS, although it doesn't matter cause it was a freeroll, it's just finally cause it's never happened to me and Ive never seen it happen.
KQ all in vs K10. Flop is QXX, now he can only win with runner runner straight or trips, turn and river are 10s. Pwn! I lost my site for checkinging percentages, does anyone know where I might find one? I'm curious to see the % of this hand.
  • Without doing any real checking Chris you were about a 95% favourite to win.

what I really don't get is chuckland donks on cash games donks on tourneys and can't really communicate using written english.

Chuckie????? Look at the board you went all in on. Any T makes the straight
While this time you got called by a weaker hand why go all in on a board
where the only hand that calls you is one that beats you. If you were beat you did have the re draw to the nut flush. Why did you not lead out on the flop since you were the aggressor? If your not going to lead out then I think it's an easy fold on that board.

And yes I have and do play multi tournaments at once and sometime multi table lots of SNGS Some advice dude: Work on your english and work on your poker.

This wasn't a bad beat per say, but a bad move on your part in my opinion.

We all have donked off chips in both tourneys and cash games. If you can't avoid the tilt from getting your money in ahead so that it affects your play you shouldn't be playing. If it affects your play take a break. Play only one tourney at a time or whatever.

    Just my 2 cents worth.

I think that mutli-tabling is great as long as you don't lose your efficency. For me, three tables is enough, but I know players who can play as many as 6.

Usually, I have one tournament and one cash game going.

    Johnnie
  • I've had as many as 8 going over 2 monitors but by then your efficiency is way gone (or at least mine is). I usually only do 4 max now. Cash games I try not to have more than 3 since over that I can't get any reads on players and rely on notes and stats on them.
  • I agree with Johnnie here, try playing one tournament and a cash table, helps give you enough hands to play to so that you don't play too loosely and if/when you get to final table or to a point where you need to concentrate on the tournament you can just sit out from the cash table.. Or if you want to play 2 (or more) tournaments at a time, stagger the starts 30-60 min apart so that both aren't at a critical juncture at the same time.
