Review of "The Shop"

So I went to "The Shop" last night. I didn't know what to expect but I went because a lot of forum people have been and those forum people are pretty good judges of places to go.

I had a really good time. I stayed far too late and started to bleed a lot of chips due to fatigue but next time I will change that.

The service in the place is really good. I was never in need of a drink and I appreciated the attentiveness of the hosts. The dealing was good and the game moved at a pretty good pace. As mentioned in previous posts, the chair are comfortable and the table was nice (and I know a new table is coming). The menu for items to eat is rather sparce, however, I didn't go there to eat and if someone was looking to fill a hunger craving the menu is more than sufficient. I am just not into Pizza Pockets and such. But I am a picky eater.
Having said that, the hosts would have been more than happy to go out and get whatever you needed (as they did) but I just didn't need anything. So kudos to the hosts for that.

One complaint. The High Hand Jackpot has two pay out formats. If you have been playing for over 7 hours lifetime, you get the payout as listed, but if you are new to the game you get half of what anyone else would get. I think this is flawed logic brought upon by people complaining that a "new" person shouldn't be getting their money. Casinos do not have this rule. Bad Beat and High Hand jackpots on online sites do not have this rule. Lottery corporations do not have this rule. If there is a jackpot there should not be conditions made to new players. A jackpot is a jackpot is a jackpot. It should be awarded the same to new people as the regulars.

Overall, the place is really good with a lot more improvements on the way. I think this is a great place to play a little poker on the weekends. I plan to come back as time allows.
