Rocks off to Vegas Feb 25th

Ok, the Rocks are off to Vegas again, only 3 of us this time though.... Imagine the rest of them, finding work more important than a Vegas sabbatical! I will use this thread for a trip report and for any comments/suggestions that may come up beforehand.... This trip it is just myself , Big Bob and Paul P going..... We fly out of Buffalo at 2:40pm on the 25th and leave Vegas at 11:45pm on March 1st. We have not booked rooms as yet but are thinking of staying downtown (Binions?) the 1st night and then the last 3 nights at the Excalibur. Anyone have any alternative suggestions? Personally I'm planning on playing more tournaments this trip, including the 12 noon Omaha on at the Orleans on Monday. Probably will play a couple of Sahara ones and then who knows...

I don't know what your bankroll's like, but the Venetian tournaments (2nd link) look interesting. Also, they're running satellites.
