Lightbulbs vs Candles - What Gives?

I don't see what the big difference is between light bulbs and candles. Someone please enlighten me. For $20 + extra a month, is it really worth it? Granted the light source is better (High Def), but if I'm reading books to read them once, I don't really care that much if it is bright. Is a light bulb not just a glorified candle for those unable to figure out how to work there candle in the first place. What gives??

    Forget candles, use the sun, it's free and available for almost 8 hours a day (weather permitting).

    Stop comlaining and enjoy your walk/bikeride to work while us suckers in Ontario shovel the mountain of snow that the F#%ING slowplow dumped on the driveway. AGAIN!
