Overly Helpful Players
This one is for you guys out there! Although I made it to the final table of 80 players at our "town" game where we deal ourselves like a homegame, I ran into something I never run into when playing my usual LIMIT sit and goes and tournies in the past. Since no-limit needs a bit more thought when betting than limit tournies and calculations for betting are imore important, sometimes it takes me a while to count out my chips and get them over the line. For instance, I'll say "raise 300", 3 times the blind, and I'm stacking up the chips in front of me which was in most cases TOO slow for many of the guys who play online mostly and want SPEED. Anyways, I don't know if it's because I'm one of 4 women who play this men's tournie or not, but 3 times at 3 different tables the guys next to me start stacking and counting up my chips for me. They just reach over and grab them and start counting them. The 3rd time this happened (very young agressive guy) I realized this was a bit of a tell because I figured if the guy on the left of me was in such a hurry to get my chips in he must of thought had a pretty good hand so because I hadn't verbally announced how much I'd raise I did a minimum raise and sure enough as soon as my chips (that HE stacked) went into the pot, he reraised and did, in fact, have a pretty good hand that I beat regardless after the river. What are your views of this and can you think of any politically correct comments I could say to these guys if it happens next time becuase I hate them touching and grabbing my chip stack? Thanks all.

BTW, any games that I have played in this is severely frowned upon and can result on a penalty.
"get your f#@kin hands off my chips!"
It's poor form to touch another stack (though i'm guilty of it, but only when kicking in an ante / blind for another player who's away from the table or dealing).

I'd simply say:
"Please don't touch my chips again."
If he doesn't get the message and does it again, I'd call over the tournament director and ask him to inform the player of proper table ettiquette.
Another player should NEVER touch your chips without your permission. They're yours until they go into the middle.
For the first offence, I'd ask Mr. Grabby to keep to his hands to himself. Anything after that, call for the tournament director to make a ruling.

Be polite and firm and ask him to keep his hands on his own chips. I thought it was a rule that you cant touch another players chips?, or is that just a rounders flashback again.
Or,
look him in the eyes and say "if you touch my chips again, my hands will be all over yours!!!"

Explain why after the bleeding stops
Apologize to him at the next tournament.
Great question...I wouldn't have a clue though as I never seem to have more than 10 chips infront of me anyway
With enough practice, you can become faster at counting chips, or in an all-in, you can choose to ask the current dealer or unofficial table warden to count for you. You can also be aware of which players are going on tilt against you for being too slow for them.
