This should make Mario Proud

While I was sure I wasn't ahead, I thought I had a few more outs than I had.
Feels good to be the one delivering the bad blow for a change.
I was at work, had no HUD running and had only been playing about 12 hands when this occured. No real reads outside of the table was mighty passive lots of limping to see the flops. Any aggression usually took the pot. I knew I was behind but didn't think I was as far behind as I was. Apparently I lived up to my name as a super donk as I was critized for the next 6 hands till I left......

    So why not just push?

He should have just pushed on the flop c/r.

Nice catch by the way ;)

    /g2
  • I wasn't sure if he was just trying to buy the pot with an average hand (maybe 10J or JQ). I thought if I just called and he checked then I pushed he might make a stupid laydown with top pair no kicker or something figuring he was beat. I wanted the little piece of shrapnel left to shoot. Tribeca players can be dumb that way, but if you repush at them they seem to insta call.
  • He had a set, he put you on a big pair, he wanted the call. He got what he wanted and lost, no faulting the play of either player. If you held AA and rivered an A the result would have been the same. Your AK actually had more outs than AA.
