Do you re-buy???

I am playing the $5 Rebuy on Stars.

I am at 22K in chips - first break - blinds going to 75-150.

For an additional $5 I can add 2000 chips - less than 10% of my stack.

In this situation do you re-buy?

    I rebuy every chance I get. When you're big stack, it's not so much to increase your stack as it is to devalue the chips of the shorter stacks (I think this is from Sklansky?).

    Always Always Always take the add on. Even if you are a massive chip leader.

    I think I just read this..that you should not add on if you are above the average chip stack. It was Sklanksy's Advanced Tournament book. But my advice is rather late, how did you do Tom?

    Just on a pure math basis, if you are expected to win the tournament, the most you will win is 50% of the prize pool so you are adding on $5, in order to win back $2.50.

    As Beanie says you want to devalue your opponents chips however. If I look at the standings and see that it will move me above or farther away from players that are close to me in chip count, then I will add on.
