Grand Opening in K-W, Jan 26th. 1/2NL.

Hi guys and gals,

The Shop Poker Club is opening it's doors Friday, Janurary 26th.
We intend to run 1/2NL Hold 'Em until we get a feel for what you are interested in playing.

We will be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8PM.

We offer professional dealers, free food and drinks brought to you by our hostess and a comfortable and secure setting.

The club is run by active forumers who have become tired of the long drive, through the snow, up hill, both ways, to the Toronto clubs and distant casinos. Feel free to contact us with any questions, comments and suggestions. We are looking forward to doing something positive for the local poker community.

    Wow this is awesome. I was just wondering, where exactly the club is and how the rake works, how many tables there are etc.

    We're trying to get the PM working (sloth!) Feel free to e-mail for the exact address. The club is near Victoria Park, Kitchener.

    Initially there will be one table and as soon as we're sure we can fill it, we'll expand to three.

    Thanks for the support everyone. We have been rounding up players at the bar games in K-W this week. The first weekend should be a great jumping off point. We are open to any suggestions and if there is interest, we are even thinking of running a Pot Limit Omaha game on an off night.

    We can't wait to see the support we get first night. If the local poker community can support it we have lots of expansion plans for the club.

    This is an incredible idea, I'm very excited to attend. Kudos to you for being intelligent enough to get this together for the k-w poker community. I'll probably be there every night.

    I wonder, if djalikool watched "Borat" and laughed, was it a laugh of amazement at people's stupidity, or one of those "It's funny because he's saying what we're all thinking".

    Although I will be unable to attend this weekend, I'd love to hear a report from someone. More than just the bumping and grinding that Kristy intends or the slitting of dj wrists, again by Kristy (no, I would like to hear that) but about the room, the dealers and the rake and such.
