Hork42, I see you live in Caledon, friends of mine run the Airport pizzeria. Do you know the one?
I've driven by it many a time, but have never gone there. That's in Caledon East, and I'm in Caledon Village on the west end. Maybe I'll go there someday and say that "esool" sent me and see how they react!
Some more info: I didn't realize they were building a whole new casino in Niagara Falls. No word of any poker room, but here is the link in case you're interested in checking it out. (Complete with a construction webcam!)
Are you sure your friend is right. I've heard from several people that have asked dealers and/or pit bosses at casino niagara and they say that the new casino will not include a poker room.
It would be great if it did, I just haven't seen or heard from anyone (until your post) that it would.
I've heard that the new fallsview NiagaraCasino will not have pokert but old Casino Niagara will put in 10 hold'em tables
Also Seneca Niagara Casino is supposedly building a large poker room with 25 tables to be ready in Oct., Not sure if this is part of their new casino or will be at there present location. I've heard this infomation from a reliable source and also from a couple of dealers
Hope it's all true
To further fuel the Niagara Falls, NY poker rumors, I just noticed this posted on RPG:
Hey guys,
You might want to wait till April 1st, when Seneca Niagara Casino
officially opens there new poker room. Which will officially be my home.
If you don't mind going over the border if you are coming from canada its
only 35 seconds from the bridge in NF.
I was at Seneca yesterday and the supervisors said that the poker room was expected to be ready for early may. That casino is never busy so they must be trying to be the only poker room in the Falls to get more business. It will be a great spot to play, mainly because of the free drinks!
There was just an ad in the Niagara Gazette for the Seneca Niagara Poker
room, which will be opening this Saturday 5/15/04. It said there will be
14 tables, all different levels of play, hold'em, omaha, and 7 card.
Also, an upscale steakhouse is opening there Friday night.
So it looks like we will offically have another B&M option. :P

Plus Niagara will bring a lot of Americans across for some fishing.... <drool>

(hopefully on this side of the border... I'd rather Americans come over and give us their money than having to go over there and take it!)

Thank you for your e-mail.
There are no plans to offer Texas Hold Em at Casino Niagara or the Niagara
Fallsview Casino Resort.
If it doesn't involve slots, we're not interested.
