Pockets has been open for just over 2 years. They are the only club that I am aware of that is open 7 days a week. They run a 1/2 game every night. Lots of action and useally one of the tables plays like a 2.5 game. Useally 2 tables. A 5/5 game every Sunday. They do a 30 man freeroll every tuesday thru Saturday, the winner gets a seat into there main event, which is a 240.00 buy 100 man tournament. Winner gets 10K and 2nd thru 10th place split another 10K. (I finished eight twice). Top point finishers in the tournaments meet for a freeroll winner gets seat in WSOP
Don't kid yourself, the cops know of every underground club in the city. They will warn you before shutting you downas they did at the River room which has re opened. The security is a double door like in a high end jewlery store, meaning you have to be buzzed through both doors seperately. They have at least t cameras.
Inside it very nice with flat screens on the wall and a video gaming area upstairs. If you are interested in attending this club let me know via PM and I can hook you with the details.
May next week I will give a review on Top Flight Club, one of the best 1/2 games in Toronto. And by far the niceist atmosphere to play poker.
pockets was fantastic. i'm not sure if i'd liken it more to a friggin stable or that block of ATMs in the TD Centre downtown?
there's just something about pulling down a 200BB pot when two guys can't let go of shitty trips on a flushed board against your full house. it kind of makes you want to cry when you have to leave.
security there is good. staff is top notch. nice tables. don't take the kids unless they have fat wallets and can take a few bad beats.

How do they identify an undercover cop? Also, someone on New Years Eve got arrested at Brantford Charity Casino right at the poker table....and guess who arrested him? Not the uniformed security. Under cover cops playing on 20/40! I was shocked as hell!
yeah so, I am sure the cops have been in pockets and many of the other places around town, I feel safw when I am there and that is the bottom line. I have been in tournament and know cops who are playing. As far as ID, no they don't ID, it is best to phone ahead and say so and so said I should come and check thinks out,

They run tournaments a few times a week and have a 1-2 no limit game every night and on some nights 2 of them.
