I just got back from a trip out west and while visiting some friends in Vancouver last week, I had some time on my last night there to hit the casino. In the middle of my session, a new guy sits down and was reading the current issue of CPP. Another guy at the table then asks the rest of the table if we read that article or heard of "that guy who turned $35 into $85,000." Those who hadn't read the story yet were pretty amazed and the table was filled with talk for the next hour or so all about All_Aces. One guy even said that it'd make for a good movie, lol. So congratulations All_Aces, when random people are talking about you, you've become an official celebrity.

    Thats hilarious man. Aces, I can't believe that you haven't been down to Brantford yet to do the litmus test...

    I guess tonight will be your first time out in a big game since the issue hit the shelves, man I wish I could be there now....

    Yeah, I'm kinda surprised I haven't checked out the casino action yet as well, lol. Been a busy month... However, I am hoping to go to Brantford soon, maybe in a week or so. Just to see if anyone actually recognizes me, and if they do, whether some small measure of 'intimidation factor' is a good thing (+EV) or not.

    As for tonight, it's a 'private' tourney, so I doubt there'll be copies of CPP lying around. I'll be surprised if anyone recognizes me who doesn't already know me. I wonder if, in a NL tournament, I want to be recognized.

    If you see a guy in a clown nose, dark sunglasses, an afro wig, and a trenchcoat in a casino or club in the next few weeks, please come over and say hello. ;)

    I was in Brantford last night toiling away at 2-5 when I heard "Devin for 20-40 your seat is open". I thought "could it be?" Will anyone recognize him?
    But then last call came and no show so I thought the mob of groupies All_Aces newfound celebrity has drawn caused him to miss his call.

    Must have been a different Devin.

    Actually, casinos across Canada are now starting to call my name at different, random times throughout the week. First of all, they're hoping that I'll just happen to be within earshot, and I'll just go ahead and sit down in their cardroom. Second, if on the off-chance I'm not within earshot, they're trying to make people think I might be within earshot, which creates the usual media frenzy, etc... and brings publicity to their cardroom.

    I believe he now wears a clever disguise to avoid getting mobbed all by the 19-somethings on the 2-5 waiting list.
