But the reason to play it is the players are idiots.

So you get morons who play craps figuring they will give poker a try...
So you get clueless players who are used to dropping $200 on the craps table throwing around $25 bets like pennies.
As a result of the loose aggressive gambling morons on the site, it's a high variance game. Drop down a notch in stakes if you are not rolled high enough to take the swings.
Figure 500 Big bets if you're playing Limit and double the number of buyins you usually budget if you're playing No limit. (10 to 40 buyins is a comfortable number for me)
So for example to play .50/1.00 Limit you need $300->$500.
For $1/2 NL you probably need around $2000->$8000
The rake is shitty.
The software is so bad that it will drive good players insane if they are used to the better sites like Party, Stars, and Ultimate bet.
But I like it for the morons...
If you can't beat Pacific you should go back to playing the freerolls and play money.
