Are Wii still having fun?
So Wii users, now that you've had a month or so to play with the unit are you still enjoying it? I'm thinking of getting the kids one if they can keep their grades up, they have both moved from b's and c's to a's and b's and I'm proud. I'm thinking the Wii would be a sweet graduation present.
So, let's hear the likes, dislikes, and general thoughts on the Wii now that you've owned it for a while.

Although I could check and tell you exactly how much I play (it tracks it), I easily have it on at least once a day! 100% worth every penny...
AND
They've just released the "forecast channel" so you can (via wireless internet) check the weather, and apparantly the Opera browser is being released later this week for web-surfing! Fun fun!

(strap break horror stories and great pictures of smashed tvs and black eyes from flying remotes)
So being very vocal about the Wii, I've been referred to that site, and the strap replacement site numerous times - even though two of the people sent me the link after I TOLD THEM ABOUT IT
Bottom line, yea, people are breaking shit and getting hurt. Solution is simple:
DON'T BE A TOOL!
Hang on to your remote, there's no need to go all crazy swinging. I've used mine for many hours, and seen it put to use by many many people for a long stretch of time at Zithal's, and shockingly, no broken tv / window / noses.
People are stupid
Bring back lawn darts.

here, here, truer words have never been spoken, lawn darts was the bomb!
too funny, funny 'cause we all did it
I love my Wii. Wraych loves my Wii. The dog hates it. It's to much like playing fetch!
If I had to complain about one thing, it would be the battery life (or lack of) for the Wii-mote. I've already gone through 6 AA (lol...not pocket Aces!) batteries. So I've swithed three times. Maybe Nintendo will introduce a non battery using, rechargable Wii-mote. Say like the Xbox 360 has. But that's it. Everything else is cool. The games play great and look sweet. And for less than $400, you'll have the system, and game, and an extra Wii-mote. Thats more than enough to start, at a reasonable price, I think.
JohnnieH...aka Wii-tard #4
I think Energizer also has a new 15 minute charger out, that would be pretty cool.....I hate going through batteries!!!!
Glad to hear it's holding it's appeal!
I got Energizer ones, they probably last me a week of daily use (or one day I bring them to Bristol), and then pop them into a charger while I"m at work / asleep and they're good to go again!

Internet surfing on a Nintendo??? Mmmmm... Nintendo and porn without leaving my couch.
Mark
p.s. The predictive text actually came up with “porn”... ha!
1. It was only predicting that you would use the word porn.
2. In the case, having a wireless joystick isn't nearly as much fun.
I want one!!!
Welcome to the Christmas rush!
